Doggo's Frozen Cream Treats
Mix the ingedients in a blender until smooth. Add flavorings as desired and blend again until incorporated. Spoon the cream into silicone molds, adding any mix-ins. Freeze until solid.

PLAIN GREEK YOGURT | 1/4 c |
UNSWEETENED COCONUT MILK | 1/2 c |
CRUSHED UNSWEETENED COCONUT FLAKES | 1 t |
XANTHAN GUM | 1/16 t |
These are very fattening, just like regular ice cream is for humans. I make my bars in 1 TB amounts and give my very lean puppy no more than 2 a day on hot days. Be conservative with how many you give your dog, especially if you make them with sweet flavors.
flavoring examples
I only use 1 T or less of flavoring ingredients for the recipe above. Be conservative, especially with sugar-filled ingredients. Pet obesity is an epidemic we can fix. My pup is happy with the plain cream. There's no reason to overdo it to fit a human palate.
- PB BLAST: Dog safe peanut butter (unsalted, unsweetened, no xylitol) blended into the cream and crushed unsalted plain peanuts mixed in at pouring.
- BEEF STEW: Dog safe beef baby food (no: onion, garlic, lemon juice, lime, asparagus, avocado, salt) and dog safe broth (no: onion, garlic, salt, pepper) blended into the cream, with small frozen veggies mixed in at pouring.
- CHICKEN CURRY: Dog safe chicken baby food (no: onion, garlic, lemon juice, lime, asparagus, avocado)/chicken flavored wet dog food/a small piece of plain, unseasoned, cooked chicken breast blended into the cream. Add coconut flakes and peas as mix-ins.
- CUKE COOLER: Peeled cucumber and fresh mint leaves blended into the cream.
- APPLE PIE: Peeled apple flesh, a pinch of cinnamon powder, and a drop of black strap molasses blended into the cream.
- REVENGE FARTS (When you love a dog but not their owner): Cooked egg, cabbage, and cauliflower blended into the cream.
- FRESH BREATH: Celery, fresh mint leaves, fresh cilantro leaves, and a pinch of freshly chopped parsley blended into the cream.
- HOT ICE: Freshly peeled radish, fresh basil leaves, and a pinch of cinnamon blended into the cream.
flavor ideas
- Check any ingredients you use to make sure they are safe for dogs.
- Unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter without Xylitol.
- Dog safe broth (no: onion, garlic, salt, pepper).
- Strawberries, cherry flesh, peach flesh, apple flesh, unsweetened coconut flesh, bananas, mango flesh, beets, sweet potato, pumpkin, peas, carrots, corn, green beans, squash, zucchini, celery, cucumber, radishes, sweet pepper flesh, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts. In moderation: Raspberries, blackberries, cranberries, spinach, kale, black strap molasses.
- Dog safe baby foods (no: onion, garlic, lemon juice, lime, asparagus, avocado, salt) and wet dog food.
- Small amounts of fresh dog safe herbs: Mint, Basil, Parsley, Thyme, Sage, Cilantro.
- Properly washed, fresh cultivated mushrooms.
- Cooked egg.
Pupsicles
Use 2 tsp of any of the dog safe ingredients or combos above and puree them with a cup of water. Pour it in a silicone ice cube mold and freeze them until they are hard. Cucumber, mint, or coconut milk work really well.
These are great for a few reasons. You can give them as often as you want to teething pups and when the weather is hot, especially if they aren't super sweet. They have all the benefits of ice cubes but are not quite as hard since the water isn't pure, which makes dental issues less likely. They are tastier than plain ice and can be more appealing to doggo, you can even add them to their water. Just not all the time or they may start being too picky for regular water.
AKC's Peanut Butter & Pumpkin Dog Treats

I really like this recipe and will be making it again. It's not perfect, though. You will need to add water little by little until you can get the dough to come together. If the recipe makes too many cookies, the dough freezes and can be thawed in the fridge for future use. I recommend you chill the dough before rolling and cutting. I got a 3d printed cookie cutter that does a whole row of goldfish shapes and they are a great size for training lil pups, and the pumpkin in it helps keeps their poops from being runny. You can also leave the dough in the fridge wrapped in saran wrap for a few days and when you make the cookies they will puff up. Also, the puppy loves them.
